About Us
Econ Sphere Consultancy is led by Dr. Chandra Shekhar Dhakal (PhD), an economist, evaluation expert, and independent consultant with extensive experience in economics, public policy, financial analysis, research, monitoring and evaluation, and development consulting.
Dr. Dhakal holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, USA, and has worked with and advised organizations including UNDP, UNICEF, ADB, the World Bank, and the Royal Government of Bhutan. He has also served as an Economist with UNDP Bhutan, Associate Professor of Economics at Royal Thimphu College, Lecturer at the University of Hawaiʻi, and Researcher & Economic Adviser at the Centre for Research on Bhutanese Society.
With expertise spanning economic and financial analysis, policy research, project evaluation, resource mobilization, and evidence-based development planning, Dr. Dhakal brings a strong combination of academic knowledge, international experience, and practical insight to Econ Sphere Consultancy. His work includes research and publications on Bhutanese economic issues, agriculture and food security, banking regulation, gender and entrepreneurship, and development policy.

Officially registered with the Department of Industry on 2025-01-03, Econ Sphere Consultancy is a Bhutan-registered economic and financial consulting firm.
